Overview
Salon Secret was a comprehensive digital platform dedicated to professional hair care and beauty. Designed as a «one-stop-shop» for both retail customers and professional stylists, it featured an e-commerce store, a salon discovery service, and an editorial hub. While the project has now evolved into HairMediaPro, the original design laid the groundwork for the brand’s digital authority. This was a foundational project in my career, where I was entrusted with building the platform’s digital identity from the ground up.
My role
As the Solo Product Designer during the early stages of my career, I was responsible for the complete UX/UI lifecycle. I handled everything from the initial wireframes and user flows to the final high-fidelity mockups for desktop and mobile. I independently managed the design of a complex e-commerce system, integrated specialized service tools, and established the project’s first unified Design System.
The Ecosystem
E-commerce Platform
I designed the entire shopping journey, focusing on a clean, premium aesthetic. The work included a complex product catalog with advanced filtering, detailed product cards featuring professional usage tips, and a streamlined checkout process. I ensured the mobile experience was fully optimized, allowing users to browse and purchase professional hair care products with ease.

Salon Locator Service
I developed the «Salon Locator», an interactive service helping users find professional beauty salons. This involved creating an intuitive map interface, regional directories, and detailed salon profiles. The goal was to provide a seamless bridge between online product discovery and offline professional services.

Beauty Blog & Editorial Hub
To establish brand authority, I designed a modular editorial hub. This «Beauty Guide» allows professional masters to share trends and advice. I created a flexible set of templates for various content types — from step-by-step guides to reviews — ensuring an engaging reading experience across all devices.

Unified Design System & UI Kit
To tie the entire ecosystem together, I built a comprehensive UI Kit and Design System. This served as the «single source of truth» for the project, covering everything from typography and color palettes to complex navigation components and button states. By establishing this foundational library, I ensured that the shop, the locator, and the blog remained visually and functionally consistent, making the platform scalable and easy to maintain as it grew.

Key Solutions
End-to-End UI Architecture
Despite being an early-career project, I successfully architected the full UI logic for a multi-layered ecosystem. I implemented a system that connects editorial content with the product catalog, allowing for «contextual shopping» directly from expert articles.
Scalable Design Language
The unified UI Kit I developed moved the project away from disjointed pages to a systematic approach. This allowed for rapid content updates and a consistent user experience, providing a high visual standard that supported the brand's professional reputation.
Results
The project successfully launched as a comprehensive beauty destination and served as a major milestone in my professional growth. My design provided a stable and scalable framework that supported the brand for years before its evolution into HairMediaPro. This project stands as a testament to my ability to handle complex, multi-product design challenges independently and establish long-lasting design systems from the very start of my career.
